MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION

Develop marketing strategies and rollout marketing plan to achieve the marketing plan objectives, market share and revenue targets.
Develop promotional campaigns in line with marketing strategies. Identify and develop new or existing business opportunities, market segments and potential customers to expand Ascensia operations across all segments and lead digitalization opportunities.
Fully responsible to roll-out strategy for BGM, CGM and any other new business opportunities not just limited to new product launches and act as local expert to support development and implementation of Ascensia global and regional initiatives at a country level.
Monitor sales trends, promotional schedule, and competitive information. Support sales team through joint sales calls to key accounts, impart sales force coaching to ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies. Also ensure that customers are properly selected and targeted for promotion.
Manage marketing budget. Delivery of promotional activities within agreed budgets. Achieve targeted growth through optimal promotional mix. Develop Key Opinion Leaders and potential local speakers.
Assist in leading the day-to-day marketing activities to achieve both the corporate and local market business objectives.
Recommend and lead alternative actions as needed to meet overall objectives of short term and long term plan. Plan and implement all necessary activities, in line with Global Ascensia Policies.
Maintain high quality tactical / strategic co-operation with internal and external customers and partners to drive business success and build value for Ascensia. Build and cultivate high performance culture by leading and overseeing the performance of the local team, fostering excellence, supporting talent development and living the Ascensia values.
QUALIFICATIONS:

MBA degree & Science graduate, preferably a medical doctor or pharmacist or similar
10 years of experience in Marketing Management / mix of Marketing & Sales Management
5 years of work experience in a relevant industry sector (Medical Devices, Pharma, Healthcare, Diagnostics), ideally in Diabetes Care
Experience in working with and leading marketing and sales / or marketing country teams, with strong people marketing capabilities
Expertise in managing a marketing regional / country organization, preferable with knowledge in general management responsibilities as well
COMPETENCIES:

Marketing expertise and proven experience in delivering results through implementation and strong execution at regional / country level
Strategic skills, financial acumen and solid business judgment capabilities
Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and teamwork skills
Experience in working in an international organization, interacting with people across different business groups and regions
Language skills: Full command of English language, Arabic will be a plus
