Edari Dubai Jobs 2022 Full Job Description
We are looking to hire an Assistant Engineer – Mechanics for one of our clients – a leading semi-government organization in Dubai, UAE.
This position is a long-term contract role with an initial duration of 4 months and is renewable based on performance.
The role sits within the Design Department and reports directly to the Mechanical Supervisor
The Role will be responsible for providing Mechanical expertise and support to all Fitout projects across my client’s estate.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that contractors are constructing in accordance with approved design drawings and the best industry standards.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee contractor’s work, ensuring that it adheres to approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures
Monitor, evaluate and report on contractors’ mechanical works
Ensure the proactive and ongoing identification and evaluation of any project-related risks
Be proactive in identifying any change initiatives, programs, and projects for processes and productivity improvement.
Provide all necessary support to the Fitout Design team on construction related matters
Requirements:
Engineering and design in support of Fit-out activities predominantly within airport terminal buildings and associated supporting infrastructure.
Design Health and Safety, Project scheduling and phasing.
Ability to read design drawings and inspect construction/fit-out works on site.
Technical knowledge of plant and equipment in the relevant discipline.
Knowledge of local and international regulations and safety procedures.
Good oral and written communication in English.
Computer skills i.e. MS office.
Valid UAE driving license.
Availability:
Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or a maximum of 30 days after accepting the offer.
