Product Manager – Assets
Job Purpose
- Assist Central Product Owner & Product Owner – Assets & trade to drive P&L (revenue, risk charge, net profit) and Footings of Business Banking Asset Products
- Responsible to grow market share for Asset products by deepening relationship of the existing customers and developing new products to create enhanced customer value from Mashreq(business loan, self-employed personal loan, overdraft, TWC, business credit cards, secured products – both conventional & Islamic)
Key Result Areas
- Manage the P&L for SE Segment (products include business loans, self- employed personal loan, merchant overdraft, trade & working capital, business cards, term loan (conventional & Islamic)
- Identify opportunities in the Business Banking space and develop new asset products (secured & unsecured) to maximize market share and diversify portfolio for sustained profitability of the business
- Ensure profitable growth for Asset portfolio through sound credit policy, portfolio management and pricing control
- Thought leadership towards innovation through launch of new features, variants, fiscal models & strengthening existing features & driving overall product development
- Ensure delivery channels are trained and well equipped for the product delivery as per customer segment
- Define & identify cross-sell opportunities within the customer base by developing propensity models with help from Analytics team to increase product penetration index and revenue per customer.
- Define & execute marketing campaigns & staff contests to drive incremental business volume growth to meet targets & sustained profitability for asset portfolio.
- Plans and execute market research as necessary (e.g., competitor analysis, trends by sub-segment e.g. sectors, industry)
- Ensure Audit readiness for the Unit
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Graduate with minimum 10+ years of related banking and finance experience
- Sound knowledge of credit underwriting techniques and risk analysis (qualitative, analytical, and scoring based)
- Strong understanding of P&L and marketing development across the various product life cycle stages
- Familiarity with bank’s operations, sales and support environments and a strong customer focus
- Good understanding & appreciation of Islamic banking concepts/ product structures
