We’re looking for unique talent with fresh perspectives that can propel innovation in MetLife’s Global Technology Organization (GTO). In GTO, we are transforming how technology is used and deployed at MetLife. We set the global standard for usage patterns and adoption. We are laser focused on the most modern delivery paradigms. This role for a Senior Full-Stack Cloud Engineer will influence our broader Engineering and Application Development groups in adopting PaaS technologies and processes to meet MetLife’s digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of scalable cloud solutions and tools for customers
Leads the implementation of the Azure PaaS Cloud Architecture
Drive and facilitates team design discussions and meetings across LOB’s
Build and develop prototypes to solutions which can be implemented and built at scale by other team members
Owns the technical relationship with key stakeholders and partnering teams

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

Experience building and architecting solutions to enable efficient and automated operations of Cloud Services.
Experience working with non-technical business partners to deliver global solutions.
Experience working with stakeholders and facilitating small groups
Experience developing software for distributed and large-scale systems
Excellent analytical skills as well as communication skills both verbal and written
5+ years of IT and or software engineering work experience.
3+ years of Azure Cloud services working knowledge

Preferred:

7+ years of Linux / Unix experience
5+ years of bash scripting experience
Understanding of Docker Swarm, Kubernetes and container concepts and technology
BA/BS in related field and/or related industry certification
