Position Description
QIAGEN offers a broad and comprehensive portfolio of instruments and consumables solutions for the infectious disease molecular testing. From manual and automatic extractions, PCR instruments, syndromic testing and MDx high throughput systems for genetic, infectious disease (Covid-19) and women Health .

To strengthen our Infectious Disease regional team, with special focus in Life Science & Molecular Applications, we are recruiting for a Life Science and Molecular Diagnostic Sales Applications Specialist who will work closely with the local Sales Managers primarily in Middle East and Africa. The Infectious Diseases Sales Applications Specialist will drive both pre-sales and post-sales activities for all the MDx products in the defined territory according to the country action plans and ultimately supporting the sales of QIAGEN IDXP solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Complete workflow support, product demonstrations, application consulting, workshops, on-site training and support, and support with technical queries.

• Cover commercial aspects of the pre and post-sales support process for QIAGEN’s Infectious Diseases panels and instruments. Maintain and develop positive relationships with customers and references and assist in the development and maintenance of reference customers.

• Effective weekly/monthly planning of field based activities.

• Support customers throughout the product lifecycle and provide customer product training when needed.

• Increase sales by actively selling to end users, maximizing consumable pull-through.

• Plan, forecast and achieve objectives, key performance indicators and revenue forecasts for their business.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (preferably in molecular diagnostic, virology), PhD desirable but not required.

– Essential;- 2-3 years lab/working experience on infectious diseases routine testing, or as an application specialist with similar technologies, with high throughput instruments. Proven work experience in sales and developing customer relationships.

– Essential;- Knowledge of relevant markets and competitors landscape.

• Excellent communication skills at all business levels.

• Willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities and undertake challenging tasks and/or projects.

• Ability to work with several stakeholders in a structured and organized fashion.

• Team working spirit and ability.

• Willingness to travel (up to 60%)

• Position based in Dubai or Saudi
